I can really relate to your story. Before moving to the U.S., we had built our dream home in Germany, thinking we would live there forever. Leaving that behind and renting it out was incredibly hard — I can only imagine how tough it would feel if we ever had to sell it.

Like you, I also used to think I'd never feel comfortable anywhere else. But stepping outside of my comfort zone opened my eyes to how much more the world has to offer. Now I truly believe what you said: nowhere is perfect, but the world is bigger, and sometimes you have to get uncomfortable first to find real comfort.

Thank you for sharing your journey — it’s a great reminder to stay open to life’s unexpected turns.
