This sounds like the way to celebrate!! Is there a traditional 'meal' or meat that's served on the 24th?

I'm not sure i ever asked you this, where did you live in the US? And how did you decide on D.R.?

¡feliz Año Nuevo a usted or para ti, haha, I'm not sure!

There are no specific meals on Xmas to my understanding. I've heard of pig leg tho, but the dinners I've been to always had quipes, empanadas, rice and beans, lasagna, salads, chicken, apples, lots of candy.

I always lived on the East coast, but met my lady in Toronto, Canada I been meaning to write how I decided on DR. Will do in the new year.

Feliz Año Nuevo !! (both are fine)

Haha, thanks. Anyway, it'll be interesting to read the dynamics of how you two met, and decided to both relocate to a different country and how you both are adjusting, and if your lady works, how she's settling in. (Men are different than women so this is a great perspective to write about.)

I've heard of the pig (not the leg), that seems popular in a many of the Latino countries.

Yea, one day I'll go more in-depth about how the decision came about moving to DR. Not just because she is from here either.
